Friday will become windy with some increased cloud cover. It will be warm through Saturday before cooler air moves in Sunday. We’ll also see the chance of showers increase.
Warm windy Friday with showers, cooler air this weekend
We’ve had a stretch of sunny days with light winds. We’ll begin to see a few changes Friday, including an increase in winds.
Look for south/southeast winds to blow at 10 to 20 mph with 15 to 30 mph winds in western Minnesota. We’ll also see a few more clouds, especially west. It will still be warm, with highs in the 70s for much of the state.

A disturbance will bring the first chance of showers for mainly western and northern Minnesota later Friday. Statewide, we’ll see changes for at least some spotty showers develop later Saturday into Sunday.

Saturday will still be warm south and east, with highs again well into the 70s. Cooler temperatures will move into northwestern Minnesota.

Sunday will bring a drop in temperatures to near-normal levels, mostly in the 50s with some 40s in far northern Minnesota.

A pair of upper-level lows will keep a lot of cloud cover around the region Sunday into much of next week and also bring the chance of fairly spotty, hit-and-miss showers. Unfortunately, the rainfall doesn’t look significant.

Temperatures will remain near-normal, in the 50s and 40s most of next week.
