Temperatures will continue to be warm for this time of year, averaging about 15 degrees above normal into early next week. Forecast models show an increasing likelihood of rain for next week.
Continued mild into November
Friday will be another seasonably mild day with afternoon highs back well into the 50s and low 60s in southern Minnesota despite the chilly start. Look for high clouds to increase, filtering the sun out a bit.

Halloween will be on the milder side of normal too, mainly in the 50s with some 60s. Normal highs for Halloween range from about 50 degrees in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota to the low 40s in northeastern Minnesota.

We’re still looking at a few isolated light rain showers potentially Saturday but nothing that should interfere with trick-or-treating or outdoor activities.

Sunday and Monday will likely be even warmer, mostly in the 60s for highs again ahead of a developing storm system for next week. We could be in for a prolonged period of occasional rain showers and lots of clouds for a good chunk of next week.

Forecast models dump 1 to 3 inches of rainfall potentially across large areas of the region. This would be very welcome moisture to get in the ground before it freezes as we count down the days left of meteorological autumn.
