Minnesota's preeminent Russia expert, Nick Hayes, gives a complex portrayal of Vladimir Putin, a man who sees himself as the leader who has given Russia a place at the table for international diplomacy.

Hayes is professor of history and holds the university chair in critical thinking at St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict. He spoke May 6, 2016 at the Selim Center at the University of St. Thomas.
