This week people from around the country are walking through wheat fields. The annual wheat quality tour provides a pre-harvest estimate of crop yields and that's of interest to more than just farmers.

EPA expected to rule on ethanol mandate

The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to rule later this week on a request to cancel a federal ethanol mandate. Livestock farmers, food companies and others want the requirement waived.

New regulations for Minn. feedlots

Minnesota feedlot regulations will be changing soon. When a feedlot changes ownership the MPCA will need to re-approve the permit to the new owner and winter manure spreading will no longer be allowed.
