Meet the Star Tribune's newest columnist

Myron Medcalf is a longtime Minnesota resident who previously worked as a sports reporter for the Star Tribune. You can read his column in print on Sundays twice a month and also online.

Myron Medcalf, former Star Tribune reporter, has returned to the largest newspaper in the state to take on a new role: contributing metro columnist.

Medcalf is the first Black male columnist in the newspaper’s history. He joined MPR News host Angela Davis to talk about fatherhood, his career and his plans for the twice-a-month column.
