More than 180,000 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 this year.

Some people are experiencing mild symptoms, like sore throat, congestion and fever. Others are experiencing much worse, like difficulty breathing and chest pain.

Host Angela Davis spoke with a hospitalist at M Health Fairview and two people who were diagnosed with the virus earlier this year.

Guests:

  • Dr. Andrew Olson is the director of hospital medicine at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center. He is medical director for COVID-19 hospital medicine for the M Health Fairview system.

  • Kirstin Johnson-Nixon is a social worker with the Minneapolis Public Schools. She and her immediate family were diagnosed with COVID-19 in May.

  • Melissa Jones is senior manager of on-air fundraising at Twin Cities Public Television. She tested positive for the coronavirus in early March and still has lingering symptoms.
