Much of the high school sports tournament coverage focuses on the boys hockey and basketball tournaments. But there was a girl’s high school wrestling tournament a few months ago— the very first such tournament in the state. Several girls took home state championship titles in their weight classes.
Nari Miller is a senior at Edison High School in Minneapolis and she became the first champion of the girl’s 152-pound title. She was also awarded the prestigious "Athena Award" as her school's top senior girl athlete. She competes in three sports: wrestling, football and track and field.
