A rapidly-spreading wildfire prompted evacuations Sunday northeast of Duluth. The Camphouse fire was reported just after 1 p.m. near Brimson and quickly grew amid gusty winds and extremely dry conditions. The fire was estimated at 750 acres as of late Sunday night. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said it affected some cabins, garages and other structures. There were no reports of injuries.
An air quality alert goes into effect Monday afternoon and evening for most of Minnesota as the combination of hot, dry weather and pollution in the air causes elevated amounts of ground-level ozone.
