From street choirs and drummers to new tracks by Laamar and Bruce Springsteen, a new wave of protest music is rising in response to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations. MPR News, host Catharine Richert talks with The Current's Gannon Hanevold about how musicians are soundtracking resistance in Minnesota.

Geoffrey Lamar Wilson performs under the name Laamar. He is a Minneapolis-based singer, songwriter, saxophonist and composer. His work includes the album “In the Light” and the EP “Flowers.” And he wrote a song called “Who is She to You” in response to the fatal shooting of Renee Macklin Good by an ICE agent last month.
