One in 10 U.S adults age 20 and older has high cholesterol. And many people don’t even know they’re living it.
MPR News host Angela Davis talks with a cardiologist about “good” and “bad” cholesterol, what your cholesterol numbers mean and the latest advice on screening, prevention and treatment.

Dr. Michelle Carlson is a cardiologist at Hennepin Healthcare, where she serves as Division Director of Cardiology and directs the cardiovascular disease fellowship program. She specializes in general cardiology, cardiac imaging, cardio oncology and is also an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
