Prior Lake man charged with intentional homicide in stabbing death of Stillwater teen

A Prior Lake man was charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Isaac Schuman, 17, and attempted first-degree homicide for allegedly wounding four people in their 20s who were tubing with the teen. Elderly couple killed in Hopkins home explosion

Family members at the scene of the explosion identified the husband and wife killed in the accident as 85 year-old Hubert Vassar and 83 year-old Sharon Vassar. Emergency crews responded to the explosion on the 200 block of 21st Avenue North in Hopkins around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday and were able unable to find any other gas leaks in the area, leading officials to believe it was an isolated incident. Teen sentenced in killing that led to fatal no-knock police raid

A Ramsey County judge on Monday gave a 16-year sentence to a teen convicted in the shooting death of a man during a robbery in St. Paul. Mekhi Speed is the cousin of Amir Locke, 22, whom Minneapolis police killed Feb. 2 while executing a no-knock search warrant to gather evidence in the investigation.
