Former Vikings, Cal QB Joe Kapp dies at age 85
After a stellar collegiate career at Cal in the 1950s that was capped by an appearance in the 1959 Rose Bowl, Kapp went on to star in Canada before making it to the NFL. He took over for Fran Tarkenton in Minnesota and led the Vikings to a Super Bowl appearance in the 1969 season.
Vikings: Bud Grant, legendary coach, dies at 95
Grant was head coach from 1967-1983 and in 1985. According to team records, he had a regular season NFL coaching record of 158-96-5. His Vikings teams played in four Super Bowls.
Hurts, Mahomes and Vikings' Jefferson among AP NFL MVP finalists
Justin Jefferson led the NFL with 128 catches and 1,809 yards receiving in his third season with the Minnesota Vikings. Jefferson was one of two unanimous choices for AP All-Pro along with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
