As the last days of the campaign are upon us, there's a new practice that's been springing up with greater ferocity, attaching unrelated comments to a main post -- in effect people are using the comments section as their own blog... or to whip up traffic for their own blog.
I don't have a problem if it's relevant to the main post -- there's lots of good blog entries that ARE related to the post that people should know about if they wish -- but I'd rather not have the comments section be a repository for junk mail -- political or otherwise.
