Jonathan Lethem and "You Don't Love Me Yet"

Jonathan Lethem's new book, "You Don't Love Me Yet," follows the misadventures of a group of twenty-somethings in Los Angeles as they form a band. It's a story of art music and plagiarism.

Jonathan Lethem has a new novel about indie rockers and young performance artists living in Los Angeles and trying to make their big break.
But he is also shopping a new idea -- that artists and businesses keep too tight a hold on copyrights and that the artistic spirit would flourish if everyone agreed to loosen that grip.
He discussed that crazy dream and his characters from his new book, "You Don't Love Me Yet," with The Current's Mary Lucia, and MPR News editor Euan Kerr.
