The cold gales of November will roar in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest with winds gusting to over 40mph. Wind advisories are flying today for much of the state and Wisconsin.

Winter Storm Warnings are up for Michigan's Upper Peninsula, as the first lake effect snow of the season cranks up. 5 to 10 inches is expected to pile up, along with 40 mph winds creating blizzard conditions at times.

It will stay cool this week with highs in the 40's Wednesday through Friday. The weather will mellow this weekend, as highs return into the then balmy 50's!
