Here we go again

The March lion is ready to roar one more time.

A major winter storm (in early spring) is rapidly developing to our southwest, and heading for Minnesota on Monday. We will refine the forecast details tonight and on Morning Edition early Monday, but be prepared for the likelihood of heavy wet March snowfall most of Monday.

This storm appears potent enough to lay down a swatch of 6" to 10" of heavy wet snow from southwest Minnesota into northern Wisconsin. It is possible that the Twin Cities may be in the heavy snow band.

The good news is we are still expecting a major warm up late this week into next weekend, so most if not all of the snow should be gone a week from today.
