That's from the weekly crop report from the Minnesota field office of the U.S. Department of Agriculture released Tuesday.
Spring wheat and barely harvests were 2 percentage points ahead of the average progress for this week.
However, soybeans were 15 percent turning yellow compared to 32 percent for the longtime average. Twenty-four percent of corn was in the dent stage compared to 59 percent for the five-year average.
As of Friday, 64 percent of corn and 65 percent of soybeans were rated in good or excellent condition.
Statewide moisture supplies are at 14 percent very short, 36 percent short and 50 percent adequate. None of it is considered surplus. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
