The housing slump is being blamed for fewer profits this year for Warroad-based Marvin Windows and Doors.
At the company's annual profit-sharing meeting on Saturday, the company announced that about $6.4 million will be distributed among its nearly 3,400 employees. That means checks will average just under $1,900.
The profit-sharing number last year was about double at $13.1 million.
The profits are distributed to workers at Marvin Windows and Doors facilities in Warroad, Grafton, N.D., and Baker, Ore.
