White Christmas

Snow cover blankets much of the nation for a white Christmas this year.

It's a white Christmas this year in Kansas City and St. Louis. The parade of winter storms has "blessed" much of the country with a candy coating of winter white.

NOAA national snow and ice analysis

All of Minnesota is snow covered now. Note that there is as much snow on the ground today at Worthington with 19" on our southern border, as there is at International Falls on our northern border with 19".

"Officially" at Twin Cites Airport we have 7 inches on the ground. If we maintain that number when NWS takes the observation Christmas morning, it will be the "whitest" Christmas in 8 years. We had 10" on the ground in 2000, and 6" last year.
