Cauliflower coming along with adequate rainfall and at the Huttner Weather Lab garden.
The crop report from the Huttner Weather Lab is pretty good.
The sweet corn is ankle high. The tomatoes are growing nicely. The chili peppers are visible on the plants. The zucchini, cukes, and onions are looking good. It's amazing what a little rain can do to help a guy whose thumb is anything but green.

We've picked up about 2 inches of rain in the past 12 days here at the Weather Lab. Twin Cities Airport confirms that with 1.95" since June 6th. That's about average for two weeks in June, but still leaves us about 4 inches below average rainfall since April 1st. The recent rain in the metro has been enough to get by, but not enough to put a dent in the drought.
Weekend forecast:
This looks like a pretty typical late June weekend after our stormy week.
There is still a chance for a few showers and a thunderstorm this evening.
Saturday should be a classic summer day with plenty of sun and high in the 80's. An upper level wave will move through Minnesota from southwest to northeast on Father's Day. Look for a band of showers and thunderstorms to develop in southwest Minnesota in the morning, reach the Twin Cities and St. Cloud around lunchtime, and be in Duluth by supper.
Heat builds in early next week and we could push 90 Monday and Tuesday.
