Friday Night Football: Umbrellas?

NOAA 3-day rainfall forecast shows a sharp edge between a soaking and little or no rain near the Twin Cities.

We're not quite in the red zone yet, but we're past midfield and moving quickly toward the weekend. You may want to tote that umbrella along for Friday night High School football games this week.

Here's the deal. Our quirky hit and run cut-off upper low is going to make a close pass on the metro to start the weekend. There are differing models solutions, but the wise weatherman should keep a chance of showers in for Friday night and at least the morning on Saturday.

One model is cranking out .85" of rainfall Friday night and Saturday. That's a good soaking. Another hints at a drier solution. It's going to be a close call this weekend, but Sunday looks to be the drier sunnier warmer day at this point.

We'll keep an eye on the model runs tonight and tomorrow. But plan on at least the chance for some rain from the metro west Friday night and Saturday.

Stay tuned!
