Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is expected to unveil the Senate's latest health insurance reform bill this week -- perhaps as early as today.

Minnesota DFL Senator Al Franken was among a group of Senate liberals who met with Reid this week to strategize over the bill.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Sen. Franken, who didn't reveal details of the meeting. But he did say he wants to make sure the bill includes a government-run insurance plan, known as a public option, to compete with private insurance.
