Now that's a huge storm.
The same storm that has blizzard warnings flying in Minnesota is pounding the North Shore of Oahu with ocean swells that may reach 40 to 50 feet. The NWS in Honolulu has issued high surf and coastal hazard warnings for the Hawaiian Islands. The storm is said to be cranking out the biggest waves in years.
High winds from the powerful low pressure system that is racing toward the Upper Midwest generated the swells in the North Pacific over the past few days.
Just goes to show you, one storm can bring big weather to a whole lot of places, Brau! Fans of the movie Point Break would call this Bohdi's "50-year storm." Maybe this one's for Swayze.
