Father revives son hung in rope swing

The father of a 10-year-old boy who accidentally hung himself on a rope swing in Moorhead was able to resuscitate his son.

Emergency responders were called to the home about 6 p.m. Thursday on a report of a child who wasn't breathing.

Lt. Tory Jacobson says the boy had been playing on the rope swing, which hangs from a rafter in the garage and has a loop at the end. When his father found his son had gotten entangled in the rope, he performed CPR and restored the boy's pulse.

Jacobson tells the Bemidji Pioneer no foul play is suspected.
