A Richfield seventh-grader is recovering after being struck by a school bus.
The 13-year-old girl was getting off one bus Monday morning when she was struck by another.
Richfield Superintendent Robert Slotterback says the girl suffered broken bones. She was in the intensive care unit at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Slotterback says it's unclear how long ago the student had gotten off her bus before being hit by the other bus. He says it wasn't a Richfield bus that struck her, but an Adam Services bus out of St. Louis Park. Alcohol has been ruled out as a factor.

Officials believe the girl may have been crossing the street to get to a special education building or coming from that building. The intersection has a traffic signal.
