Tornado warnings have been posted for parts of the northern Twin Cities metro area this afternoon, and at least one touchdown has been reported.
The weather service says trained weather spotters reported a tornado near Interstate 94 and Dowling in north Minneapolis and there are numerous reports of trees down in northwest Minneapolis.
There are other reports of damage in Brooklyn Center, including at the Brookdale shopping center.
