That big Northeast snowstorm is disappearing almost as fast as it fell.
Look at the map below. You can see the heavy snow bands with storm totals over 20" and 30" in some areas.

But mild air behind the storm is melting the snow just as fast. Highs in the 50s have eroded the snow cover in most areas.

Trace amounts now cling to life in the warming eastern USA.
The damage is done with trees & power lines down and millions still without power. At least there's one benefit to October snow...it can disappear just as fast as it fell!
