Unusual dynamics the capitol at play with Vikings stadium bill
The proposal for a new Vikings stadium is now headed to Gov. Mark Dayton, who is expected to sign the bill. The $975 million stadium bill was on-again, off-again for much of the legislative session. It passed both the House and Senate this week in a flurry of activity -- which included late nights and closed door negotiations.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with John Tuma, a former Republican lawmaker from the Northfield area, and Jeremy Kalin, a recently retired DFL lawmaker from Lindstrom, to look back at the politics of how the deal came together.
