GOP Rep Michele Bachmann has increased her claims that a number of federal officials have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. In an interview with radio host Glenn Beck on Thursday, Bachmann accused DFL Rep. Keith Ellison of having "a long record" with the Muslim Brotherhood.

The move follows a number of letters sent by Bachmann to five federal agencies requesting insight into Muslin Brotherhood inflence in their organizations. Bachmann also accused a top Obama official of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Bachmann's moves are drawing bipartisan backlash.

Ellison responded to Bachmann's claim, telling the Star Tribune , "This is McCarthyism at its worst."
