Labor demand as measured on online job boards in Minnesota was essentially flat in July.
Job vacancies posted on sites like LinkedIn in July were essentially unchanged in Minnesota at 115,000, according to the Conference Board, a research group. That reflects a national trend.
Minnesota still has a relatively strong labor market. There are about 13 unemployed people for every 10 open positions. Nationally there are about 24 jobless people per 10 openings.
However, the Conference Board notes that certain economic sectors are posting lots of help wanted ads, including the construction industry.
