Graphic: How did Minn. lawmakers spend the state's $1.2B surplus?


At the beginning of this year's legislative session, state lawmakers had a $1.2 billion surplus at their disposal.

As the graphic above shows, the biggest single chunk of that money went back to the state's taxpayers in the form of tax cuts.
