Thousands without power after storms

Storms and high winds in northern and central Minnesota Monday night downed trees and left thousands without power.

Lake Country Power, which serves northeastern Minnesota, says more than 13,500 customers are without power as of 8:42 a.m., Tuesday, according to its outage website.

Minnesota Power reports about 5,600 customers are without power as of about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in central and northern Minnesota. It reported there were 11,000 without power at 4 a.m. Tuesday.
