Highlighting unlisted musicians who contributed to 'Blood on the Tracks'

Today's Morning Edition music is from Bill Berg, Gregg Inhofer, Kevin Odegard, Willard Peterson and Chris Weber​ with "Tangled up in Blue" from the album "Blood on the Tracks," which was No. 1 on the Billboard album chart 40 years ago Friday.

Because the album covers were already printed when the decision was made to re-record this song and several others, the Minneapolis-based musicians who played on it were not listed.

Producer David Zimmerman reportedly promised that their names would be added in subsequent pressings, but they never were.
