Kinder, a professor at Oklahoma State University, was a featured speaker at a Nov. 10, 2015, event to mark Veterans Day at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.

Kinder is author of "Paying With Their Bodies: American War and the Problem of the Disabled Veteran."
