Suspected norovirus sickens U students

The Minnesota Department of Health is investigating a possible norovirus outbreak at the University of Minnesota.
At least 28 students living in Frontier Hall have been sickened this week, according to the health department.
University spokesperson Steve Henneberry said Thursday the U initially received reports from 15 students. Department of Health officials said Friday the number jumped to 28 and it's possible they could have more.
"We don't know what the source is," Henneberry said. "Our food service staff is certainly aware and working with the Department of Health and others to take precautions."
Frontier Hall is one of four residence halls on a super block of dorms. Students from all four halls eat at two dining facilities there.
Students who caught the virus have all reported the same symptoms of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
The U urged students to carefully wash their hands and not share food and utensils.
