Just can't win: Women seen either as too meek or too aggressive as leaders

"Beyond the Double Bind: Women and Leadership," was written by professor Kathleen Hall Jamieson twenty years ago. In the book she outlines the struggle that female leaders face "being criticized for being too confident or assertive, but labeled as ineffective if they are not."

Jamieson is the director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. She joined MPR News host Kerri Miller to discuss her book and the notable things that have "and have not changed" regarding women's roles in leadership.
