The first round of the Ryder Cup is underway at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska.

The highly anticipated tournament, which started in 1927, pits a team of top American golfers against their European counterparts. It's unlike any other golf tournament.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with reporter Peter Cox shortly before the first players teed off.
