Non-vember: Weird weather bliss continues

This is not your grandfather's fall in Minnesota.

It's November. The season formerly known as winter is nowhere in sight. Unseasonable to record warmth dominates North America and the Arctic.

This weather maps look more like late September than November.

Warm front parade

The jet stream continues to flow well north of Minnesota through central Canada. This odd parade of warm fronts...to our north continues across Canada.

It's another winning weekend for those who want fall to last as long as possible. On the plus side? The furnace stays dormant, and your heating bill is a pleasant surprise. Winter lovers look at the green grass and wax poetic about the cross country skis loitering in the garage.

Still, what a weekend ahead.
