A St. Cloud man has been charged with murder in the punching death of a Waconia man last weekend.
Travis Allen Johnson, 21, was charged Tuesday in Stearns County District Court with one count of second-degree murder.
Johnson is accused of punching 22-year-old Anthony Shriver in the face after a verbal dispute at a St. Cloud intersection early Saturday morning. Police found Johnson after the fight and issued him a citation for assault.
Shriver said he had no recollection of the incident. He complained that his head hurt, but refused medical treatment.
Shriver was later found unresponsive at a St. Cloud residence. An autopsy found he died of traumatic head injuries due to physical assault.
Court documents say surveillance video shows Shriver was struck from the side as he walked away from Johnson.
Bond was set at $1 million. Johnson's next court appearance is Aug. 21.
