Tens of thousands of Minnesotans are still waiting for vehicle titles, license plates, and tabs they ordered months ago. On Tuesday, Minnesota lawmakers are asking what's going on.

The Minnesota Licensing and Registration System, MNLARS, has been a mess since it was released last summer. The officials in charge say they need $10 million by Thursday in order to keep the plan on track. It's part of a $43 million request they say they need to make various repairs.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke to Dana Bailey about the path forward. Bailey is the executive director of projects and initiatives at Minnesota IT Services.
