New Ethiopian consulate in St. Paul seeks to build trust

Hermela Habtamu, behind the desk at the Consulate General of the Federal and Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Minnesota and the Midwest, helps a woman named Makkiya with paperwork for an Ethiopian Origin ID Card earlier this month. The consulate in St. Paul helps serve families displaced by decades of border wars and government crackdowns on political dissidents, including many young people.
