The Black Pumas bring their debut album to 7th Street Entry

The Black Pumas perform Wednesday night at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis.

According to their label’s website, the band got their start when Grammy-winning guitarist and producer Adrian Quesada went looking for a singer to team up with.

A friend introduced him to Eric Burton, who at the time was busking on the streets of Austin, Texas. The two hit it off, and on their first day in the studio together, they recorded what became their first two singles.
