Remember those Old Milwaukee Beer commercials? The tag line nails this week’s weather perfectly.

“It doesn’t get any better than this.”

It’s even summer, finally, right along Minnesota’s North Shore. The thermometer hit 83 degrees at the bay at Grand Marais weather station Monday afternoon. A downslope, offshore, northwest wind helped create a mini-Chinook effect along the North Shore Monday.

Our warm, dry, comfortable air mass lingers this week. Humidity creeps up gradually. Tuesday’s comfy dew points in the 50s nudge into the 60s later this week. Highs rise slowly through the 80s this week.

No grungy dew points near 80 degrees in sight again for now.

Thursday night thunder?

A stray shower could graze the eastern edge of Minnesota Tuesday afternoon. The next significant chance for rain arrives Thursday night.

The Canadian model is one of many that hint at scattered storms along an advancing frontal boundary Thursday night into Friday morning.
