Several European countries smashed all-time heat records Thursday. Paris hit 108.6 degrees, the hottest temperature ever recorded there, and 4 degrees higher than the previous record.
Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands also set all-time heat records Thursday.

Saturday looks like the best day this weekend. More numerous showers and thunderstorms look likely Sunday. Temperatures look pleasant early next week.
