What travelers can expect from security line changes at MSP airport

Travelers to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are dealing with a new reality when it comes to security lines, as a remodeling project gets underway at Terminal 1.

As of Monday, only TSA PreCheck and Clear PreCheck passengers will be able to use the south security checkpoint at Terminal 1. All other passengers departing from the terminal are restricted to the north checkpoint.

The remodeling is expected to last through mid-December. MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Thrifty Traveler editor-in-chief Kyle Potter about what the changes mean for travelers.
