Tuesday evening storm front delivered as advertised in southeast Minnesota and Wisconsin. Here’s a quick warp of storm damage reports coming into the Weather Lab late Tuesday night.
Twin Cities
Storms favored the southeast half of the Twin Cities as expected. They did not produce any damage. Quater-sized hail fell in parts of the east metro Tuesday evening.
The Twin Cities got very lucky Tuesday evening.

Southeast Minnesota
The most severe storms in Minnesota pounded the south and southeast parts of the state. Winds gusted to 64 mph in Mankato.
Extensive tree damage is reported in Winona, including on the campus of Winona State University.
Winona [Winona Co, MN] EMERGENCY MNGR reports TSTM WND DMG at 24 Sep, 8:54 PM CDT -- NUMEROUS REPORTS OF TREES DOWN. APPROXIMATELY 1200 HOMES WITHOUT POWER IN WINONA, GOODVIEW, AND MINNESOTA CITY. TIME ESTIMATED FROM RADAR.
Wind gusts between 60 and 80 mph are reported across southeast Minnesota as the storms blew through.
Zumbro Falls [Wabasha Co, MN] PUBLIC reports TSTM WND GST of E80 MPH at 24 Sep, 7:58 PM CDT --
3 E Austin [Mower Co, MN] AWOS reports TSTM WND GST of M60 MPH at 24 Sep, 7:57 PM CDT -- AWOS STATION KAUM AUSTIN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
Rochester was hit hard by storms also. Some damage is reported.

Wisconsin damage
This tornado on the ground was reported near Elk Mound northwest of Eau Claire.
Debris signatures were detected on Doppler with this tornado.
Damage reports suggest extensive damage in Wheaton and Elk Mound.
Wind damage in Trempealeau County Wisconsin is extensive.
