This weekend feels like fall across Minnesota. Frost advisories blanket the northern part of the state into Saturday morning. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 20s. That should get our attention that the season is changing.
...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM CDT SATURDAY... The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Frost Advisory, which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 9 AM CDT Saturday.
* WHERE...Koochiching, North St. Louis, Northern Cook and Lake, North Itasca, Central St. Louis, North Cass, South Itasca and Northern Aitkin Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake area and the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek, Nett Lake and, Lake Vermillion areas.
* TEMPERATURES...As low as 29.
* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.
Saturday sun; Sunday rain
Saturday is the sunnier day this weekend. Clouds increase late Saturday and Sunday looks cloudy. Rain showers gather in northwest Minnesota early Sunday and spread southeast into the Twin Cities by evening.

Near 80 Monday
The warm front lifts north of the twin Cities Monday afternoon. That brings a one hit summer wonder with temperatures near 80 degrees in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota. The rest of the week ahead looks cool.

Fall color peak up north
Fall colors are now at or near peak in parts of northern Minnesota. A wide area of 50-75 percent colors covers most of the north. It’s still mostly green in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
