Devon Gilfillian plays the State Theatre Tuesday night
Nashville-based musician Devon Gilfillian performs Tuesday night at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, where he’ll open for Michael Franti & Spearhead.
Gilfillian grew up outside Philadelphia, where his dad was an R&B drummer. His music melds that influence with classic rock, 70s Nigerian funk, and Afropop. His tour now comes after he travelled to Africa earlier this year to find “healing and inspiration,” as his website bio puts it.
