Arctic weekend ahead; 30s again before Christmas?
Winter storm warnings for North Shore into Saturday morning
Minnesota gets a free arctic vacation this weekend.
Snow lingers in northeast Minnesota and along the North Shore overnight. Winter storm warnings continue until 6 a.m. Saturday along the North Shore.
Temperatures plunge
Temperatures plunge into subzero territory again in northern Minnesota Saturday morning, and in the Twin Cities by Sunday morning. Highs this weekend struggle into the single digits and teens across Minnesota.
Milder again before Christmas?
The longer-range upper air maps suggest a milder Pacific airflow and moderating temperatures again starting late next week and possibly lasting into Christmas week.
Temperatures in the 30s look increasingly likely in about seven to 10 days.
Stay tuned.
