Twin Cities blues singer Joyann Parker to perform at the Dakota Friday

Twin Cities singer Joyann Parker is performing with her band tonight at the Dakota in Minneapolis.

Parker, who grew up in Wisconsin, told the Wisconsin Gazette in an interview last year that she started piano at age 4. But she didn't grow up listening to soul or the blues.
